2025 Goals
Can you believe it’s already 2025? Time is flying by! If you’re curious about my 2025 goals for this year, keep reading, and check out my accomplishments from 2024 below!
Highlights from 2024
I’m proud of some key achievements in 2024. One of the biggest was having my artwork, Remnants, featured in the Grand National Fibre's travelling exhibition, which stopped at the Woodstock Art Gallery. Since Woodstock is close to my hometown, many friends and family were able to visit the exhibition. It was especially memorable to share the experience with my son—his first time seeing my artwork in a gallery.
A significant milestone this past year was my son starting full-time daycare in September. It was a challenging transition for me emotionally, as I missed him and felt guilty at times. However, it allowed me to work part-time teaching art at a local private Montessori school and focus on growing my art business. Balancing work and family life is never easy, but I’ve made great strides in my business during the last few months of 2024.
Teaching part-time has been the perfect balance for me, giving me more time to focus on my dream of growing my art business. My ultimate goal is to match my teaching salary with income from my art.
On a personal note, I’m incredibly proud of my health journey. Not only did I lose the pregnancy weight, but I’m feeling healthier and happier overall. As a family, we’ve been hiking every weekend, exploring new trails with our son in his backpack carrier. We even got an Ontario Parks pass and spent lots of time enjoying the outdoors together.
We’ve also prioritized meaningful family time and set healthier boundaries around visits with extended family. We cherished celebrating Thanksgiving and Christmas on our own and waited until after Boxing Day to visit relatives, giving us space to create new family traditions.
Another highlight was being accepted into a small business grant program. It required me to dedicate 35 hours per week to my business, which helped me stay accountable. The program included valuable business training in marketing, advertising, and finance, plus 10 hours with a business mentor. This experience has been transformative, and I’ve learned so much about growing my business, Jackie Partridge Art.
In October, I ventured into Pinterest advertising. I promoted a popular fall-themed symmetry drawing resource from my TPT store. Running ads was a bit of an experiment, and while it was a trial-and-error process, I’m glad I took the plunge. For a long time, I’d been hesitant to invest in ads, but being part of the small business grant program gave me the push I needed to take risks and invest in my business for future growth.

Unmet Goals from 2024
Of course, there were a few goals I didn’t meet. I had hoped to have 150+ products in my TPT shop, but since my son didn’t start daycare until September, I didn’t have enough time to reach that goal. For 2025, my aim is to reach 200+ products now that I have more time to dedicate to my shop.
Another goal was launching my art portfolio course. I attempted a soft launch but decided to refine the course further before fully releasing it. My focus is on making sure the course is easy to complete and helpful for teens as they prepare their portfolios for art school applications.
