Key Considerations for How to Choose the Right art school
This is applicable to whether your child wants to go to art school or an art-related program like architecture.
Deciding on the best art school and program involves several important considerations. It's normal for your child to feel anxious or overwhelmed by this big decision. Here are some of the steps to help them make the right choice:
Self-Assessment: Encourage your child to reflect on their artistic interests, strengths, and career aspirations. Understanding their preferences will help narrow down suitable programs.
Research Schools and Programs: Look into various art schools and the specific programs they offer. You can check my FREE video training to learn more about all your child needs to consider when selecting an art program to apply to.
Visit Campuses: If possible, visit the campuses of the schools your child is interested in. This can provide a sense of the environment and help them visualize their future there.
Portfolio Requirements: Review the portfolio requirements for each program. Make sure your child understands what is expected and has enough time to prepare a strong application.
