What is Face Symmetry Drawing?
What is face symmetry? It is when a face is symmetrical on either side. Most faces are naturally symmetrical on both sides. Knowing what face symmetry is can help students draw more realistic portraits. Knowing about face symmetry in art can make it easier for students who may struggle with drawing or understanding about proportions.
What is Face Symmetry In drawing?
Face symmetry in drawing is about knowing that a human’s face is symmetrical which allows the student to learn about how facial features like eyes should be evenly spaced and how to better draw a more realistic portrait drawing. Symmetry drawing -faces can be used to practice portrait drawing and as a way to enhance and refine drawing skills.
What Are Face Symmetry Worksheets?
My face symmetry worksheets are designed for highschool students or grade 7-8 students looking for a challenge. The symmetry drawing worksheets include a set of faces on plain paper which provide students with a challenge to draw the other half of the face or facial features realistically and a set on grid-paper. The set on grid-paper are a bit easier for students to draw the other half of the face because students can use the squares on the grid-paper to count and measure to ensure they have the exact spacing, shading and details on the side of the face or the facial feature they are trying to copy.
