How do I teach art at home? As a parent or a homeschool parent you might be wondering how to teach art. It can be hard to find time to teach art. There is often a focus on math or reading and writing and I get it if you can teach your kids math and how to read and write are extremely important! As a teacher and a mom, I totally understand! But teaching art at home is also important art gives kids so many important skills that are transferable not only to a career in the art but beyond! Learn more about how to teach art at home below!

Art is literally all around! Talk about colours you see when you go for a walk or the different textures you notice!

Remember that art doesn't need to be a separate class confined to a specific time during the day.
You can have art on the go like while you're waiting in a doctors office you can use my symmetry drawing animals book and purchase that here!
You can lay out different art materials and allow your child to create what they want you don't need to follow a specific craft or a certain tutorial.
